Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our team at Omron Automation. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our robotics products. Your expertise in 3D CAD design, mechanical systems, and robotics will be instrumental in driving our products from concept to reality.
Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems for our robotics products using 3D CAD software.
- Generate release drawings for manufacture and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Select off-the-shelf components and perform static and dynamic analyses/simulations to predict system performance.
- Work closely with fabrication suppliers to communicate design intent and improve manufacturability.
- Take ownership of designs throughout their lifetime and assist with triage, troubleshooting, and sustaining activities.
- Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in mechanical components and system design.
- Extensive 3D CAD experience designing moving mechanical systems with SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience with product development from concept to production release.
- Experience with robotics or motion control and with battery-powered systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Solidworks Workgroup PDM data management software.
- Familiarity with Agile documentation control tools and the Atlassian suite of tools.
- Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and offer new ideas to improve products and processes.
At Omron Automation, we offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus program. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including training and career development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and a commitment to work-life balance.
