POSITION PURPOSE:

The Sales Porter is responsible for maintaining the visual appeal of all dealership assets, with a particular focus on both new and pre-owned vehicle inventories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the vehicle delivery process provides an exceptional experience for customers.
  • Assist the Dealer Principal, Sales Managers, or Service Manager with various tasks as needed.
  • Work closely with Sales Managers to prioritize and schedule timely vehicle deliveries.
  • Monitor display areas for any open spaces and communicate with Sales management daily.
  • Maintain vehicles in an orderly and visually appealing manner.
  • Regularly rotate vehicle positions to enhance the freshness of the inventory.
  • Start all vehicles weekly, ensuring each has a minimum of a quarter tank of fuel.
  • Report any required mechanical work or damage on used inventory to the Lead Sales Manager.
  • Facilitate the delivery and collection of vehicles from the reconditioning area.
  • Ensure proper installation of addendums and dealership stickers on all vehicles.
  • Keep the patio area clean and display units well-maintained.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the used lot, removing trash and checking inventory.
  • Provide end-of-day reports to the General Manager, Lead Sales Manager, or other Sales/Finance Managers.
  • Prepare vehicles for Dealer Trade status, ensuring all necessary items are included.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Capability to follow directions accurately.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
