Job Description

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Cloud Infrastructure organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating mission-critical database lifecycle management projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and highly available database architectures on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline database deployment, configuration, and management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other Oracle services and products
  • Provide expert-level support for database operations, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and capacity planning
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle Cloud Infrastructure features and technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our database operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • At least 10+ years of experience in database administration, site reliability engineering, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, including RAC, Data Guard, and Oracle GI (clusterware, ASM)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, including OCI, AWS, or Azure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automation tools, such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, or Puppet
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, such as Git
  • Strong understanding of distributed computing, cloud concepts, and platforms
