Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Paycom. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, functionality, and reliability of our applications and sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software to detect unusual error activity and implement workflows to identify and reduce errors.
  • Collaborate with software development to design and implement availability, reliability, and error monitoring solutions.
  • Take responsibility for removing, isolating, or remediating errors, debugs, warnings, or other messages from existing logs.
  • Limit system downtime by defining and enforcing standards for incident responses, error tracking, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Effectively respond to escalated site reliability issues while on-call.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience utilizing alerting and telemetry tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, and others.
  • 2+ years' experience with Splunk SPL and at least one programming language such as PHP, Python, Java, or.Net.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years' experience with CI/CD, container and container orchestration, and SQL.
