Authorization Nursing Specialist

The role of the Authorization Nursing Specialist is to conduct prompt evaluations of authorization requests, ensuring compliance with national standards and contractual obligations.

This specialist will enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care through clinical expertise.

Moreover, the Authorization Nurse will support the clinical team in delivering direct patient care services, executing designated independent procedures, and fulfilling nursing responsibilities as required.

All frontline clinical and/or nursing matters will be managed by the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, Senior Nurse Manager, or Regional Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:
Completion of an LPN or RN program and possession of a current LPN or RN license in the respective state. Experience in handling prior authorizations is advantageous.
