Job Summary

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a highly skilled Medication Authorization Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will be responsible for reviewing medication authorization requests to ensure compliance with national standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate medication authorization requests and apply clinical expertise to support high-quality patient care
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including patient records and audit reports
  • Assist management with various tasks as needed to ensure the efficient and accurate medication authorization process
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate Degree, ADN, or Diploma in Nursing
  • 3 years of RN experience
  • Valid Arkansas Registered Nursing License
  • Current BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree
  • Experience in prior authorization and billing
