Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Forecasting: Analyze and forecast manufacturing variances to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making.
  • Productivity Improvement: Collaborate with Plant Management to drive productivity savings and meet budgeted commitments.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Manage and coordinate the preparation of departmental and plant-wide budgets and forecasts.
  • Inventory Management: Provide financial oversight and support for physical inventory counts.
  • Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of all assets, liabilities, and plant transactions in accordance with procedures and direction from the corporate controller's office.
  • Cost Management: Prepare and maintain cost standards for all products produced.
  • Capital Budgeting: Coordinate the preparation of the annual Capital Budget and related financial justification, expenditure control, and objective analysis.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Ensure that all reports, accounting data, and monthly closings are completed to meet Operations and Corporate due dates.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the Team Leader to meet all corporate reporting requirements.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as accounting.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant accounting and controlling.
  • Skills: Ability to collaborate and work in a team, good autonomy, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Travel: Ability to travel occasionally if required.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to prioritize.
