POSITION OVERVIEW
Under direct supervision, the Customer Service Representative is tasked with accurately processing customer orders and managing incoming inquiries.

COMPENSATION DETAILS
$21.00 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Address basic customer inquiries regarding products, provide pricing information, and manage order entries.
  • Process customer orders through various channels including phone, fax, email, and in-person.
  • Influence the company's gross profit by negotiating sales and purchase prices within established guidelines.
  • Adjust non-contract pricing to align with customer demands while maximizing company profit margins.
  • Foster customer relationships to encourage repeat business and identify process improvements.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels by ordering necessary items for customers.
  • Authorize orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without prior approval.
  • Source products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventories.
  • Determine the most cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders.
  • Collaborate with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Manage customer returns as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and zero to three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong reliability, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and effective time management skills.
  • Moderate computer proficiency, including information processing and email communication.
  • Familiarity with product knowledge is preferred.
