Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Jail Diversion Certified Peer Counselor to join our team at Community Integrated Health Services (CIHS) in Longview, Washington. As a Peer Counselor, you will work with program participants and treatment team staff to develop personalized treatment and recovery plans, providing direct services in community settings to promote personal growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with program participants and treatment team staff.
  • Provide direct services to participants on an individual and family basis in community settings, teaching symptom-management techniques and promoting personal growth and development.
  • Attend ongoing court proceedings and staffing as necessary, providing progress updates to the courts and allied providers and community partners as requested.
Requirements
  • Washington State Peer Counselor certification with HCA.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • One year of experience working as a peer, preferably in a behavioral health and/or substance use setting.
