Patient Telesitter

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Patient Telesitter to join our team. As a Patient Telesitter, you will be responsible for providing continuous remote monitoring and support to patients through a Telesitter software system.

• Utilize nursing assistant skills to provide continuous remote monitoring and support to assigned patients.
• Coordinate relief when leaving the station to maintain constant patient observation.
• Maintain visual patient observation at all times and verbally redirect patient as needed to ensure patient safety.
• Summon nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
• Provide patient with explanations as necessary through monitoring system voice output.
• Escalate to clinical staff on unit if patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others.
• Ensure patient's primary language is assigned in system.
• Participate in a collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues and ensure patient environment safety.

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Completion of monitoring equipment class within 1 month of hire.
• 1 year of patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Certified Nurse Assistant - Washington.
• Basic Life Support - completed through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

• Lifting: Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices.
• Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
• Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force.
• Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force.
