About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist Immunology, Cellular and Molecular Analytics US to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our Immunology, Cellular and Molecular Analytics US platform, you will play a critical role in designing and executing scientific studies to support technical programs in the development of mRNA-based vaccines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Innovative Analytical Methods: Develop next-generation analytical methods for mRNA vaccines using innovative immuno-based, cell-based, and NAT-based technologies and automation in collaboration with other teams.
  • Apply and Execute Methods: Apply and execute these methods to early mRNA candidate vaccines in close collaboration with Preclinical, Drug Substance, and Drug Product teams for deep product understanding, process development support at the preclinical, DS, and DP stages.
  • Deliver Quality Data and Sound Science: Excel in delivering quality data and sound science to drive decisions for new vaccine candidate projects, as part of end-to-end accelerated vaccine CMC development programs.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with Preclinical, Drug Substance, and Drug Product departments, as well as with other ARDS platforms and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Act as a Key Subject Matter Expert: Think out-of-the-box, using sound science, paying attention to details to continuously improve and shape the CMC strategy & framework.
Requirements
  • Education: MS or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience in immuno-based, cell-based, and nucleic acid-based technologies.
  • Skills: Strong experience and understanding of molecular biology and analytical development, fluency in English, and good understanding of QbD principles.
