Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in the ICU/ER department at BluePearl Pet Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our veterinary team to deliver high-quality medical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, utilizing anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
  • Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs, and alerting veterinarians to changes and issues.
  • Perform digital radiography, using proper technique and positioning patients.
  • Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, identifying patients at risk for arrest and initiating CPR.
  • Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration, calculating medical math and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
  • Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters, demonstrating a passion for mentoring and training other coworkers.
  • Have patience and empathy to address client concerns, working collaboratively with the veterinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
