Job Overview

As a Mixologist at Bar Bedford, you will play a vital role in delivering memorable experiences to our Guests. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with patrons in a warm and efficient manner, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable throughout their visit.

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for beverages and service, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Previous experience in bartending is essential, and you should be prepared to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the bar area for service by ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are stocked.
  • Craft and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for Guests in the dining area and bar.
  • Assist Guests in selecting food and drinks by providing menu information, suggesting pairings, and addressing dietary restrictions.
  • Share knowledge about the bar's offerings and local beverage options with Guests.
  • Uphold safety and sanitation standards by adhering to all bar policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about current menu items, changes, and any unavailable selections.
  • Accurately process orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders, maintaining quality and presentation.
  • Address additional Guest requests promptly, involving management for complex issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the bar by clearing completed orders and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Provide accurate billing and handle payments efficiently.
  • Thank Guests for their visit and ensure a positive farewell.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance overall service.
  • Perform cleaning duties as directed by management.
  • Fill in for absent colleagues when necessary.
  • Support special events as required.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Address any Guest service concerns promptly and escalate to management when necessary.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management to maintain service flow and cleanliness.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in bartending is required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Positive interpersonal skills are necessary for effective Guest interactions.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and remain active throughout shifts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of staff and management.
