Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving transformation and customer experience through project objectives. This role will oversee the Epic Ancillary applications (Beaker, Cupid, Lumens, Optime, Anesthesia, and Radiant) for a major initiative.

The Senior Project Manager will define areas of resource allocation, influence sponsors, and manage work prioritization. They will play an active role in making decisions involving human resources, technical, and financial resources necessary to implement change for high-impact environments.

The Senior Project Manager will design processes and structures to support CommonSpirit Health-wide change. They will work autonomously and have minimal interaction with HR/Project Leader regarding program management methodology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to early engagement, project gap analysis, and operational change management
  • Delivering innovation project lifecycle delivery and promoting successful relationship management and customer adoption
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the project management lifecycle methodology
  • Assigning to medium or large projects and multiple projects with rare exceptions
  • Contributing as a contributor PM on programs

The role is a key contributor to the development of the organization's transformation strategy and is responsible and accountable for delivering the best-practice approach designed to successfully plan and prepare for all aspects of project engagement, delivery, and adoption within the assigned portfolio.

Key resources for the PMO include developing relationships between IT and multiple customer constituencies, including patients, consumers, providers, clinical staff, administrators, and employees across CommonSpirit Health.

This position is vital to the organization's efficient operation in terms of well-managed systems that ensure financial success and ability to cope with pressures of shrinking revenues and market strategy to grow and expand into the future.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining channels of communication between business, IT, and other relevant stakeholders.

Responsible for developing project plans that identify key issues, problems, approaches, performance metrics, communication plans, resources required, and ensuring deliverables of the ITD initiatives.

Responsible for supervising project resources required to deliver each task, including business analysts, solution architects, design engineers, cybersecurity, QACC, etc.

Responsible for managing all aspects of projects from planning, design, development/implementation, testing, training, deployment, customer adoption, and operation turnover of the ITD initiatives.

Tracks assigned budget and resources for each project, prepares cost estimates and cost recommendations, and monitors expenditures.

Ensure compliance with all policies, financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around development and maintenance of project budget.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Project management experience in Epic EHR delivery as it relates to Beaker, Cupid, Lumens, Optime, Anesthesia, and Radiant
  • Experience with managing Epic implementation from start to finish
  • Project management experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • 5 years with strong functional understanding of hospital, clinic, and billing operations preferred
  • Multi-hospital and large project management experience preferred

Pay range: $68.10/hour
