Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Epic Security Application Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure solutions to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Design and present solutions to improve patient care and operational efficiency
  • Review and analyze systems, including testing and documenting Epic applications
  • Understand system options and configurations, and suggest and lead teams through decisions on the best way to configure and utilize the system
  • Act as a subject matter expert in design, configuration, and building one or more technologies of moderate to high complexity
  • Design, build, test, implement, and support information technology solutions to meet operational and clinical needs
  • Deliver project assignments of medium to high complexity, including application design and configuration build
  • Work closely with customers to document requirements and communicate effectively with customers and peers to implement changes
  • Support and maintain day-to-day existing functionality/programs/applications
  • Perform intermediate system analysis and troubleshooting to implement new functionality/programs/applications, and to analyze/research vendor release notes and documentation
  • Create thorough system design and build documentation
  • Analyze the functionality of the system and how it fits or not with operations
  • Translate high-level business requirements to detailed technical designs/documentation
  • Collaborate with other analysts, staff, vendors, and leadership
  • Meet with department heads and executives on a routine basis to identify and prioritize their needs
  • Lead application management activities for a single functional area to achieve project objectives
  • Manage product lifecycle management, end user enhancement requests of moderate to high complexity, and technical aspects of the modules/applications that are assigned
  • Assist in identifying any barriers to adoption of clinical practice
  • Perform a variety of tasks to support the organizational initiatives
  • Facilitate performance improvement for the effective use of information technology
  • Support business/clinical operations with clinical and financial end users
  • Support continued system maintenance and optimization
  • On-call coverage (after business hours and weekends) is required, on a rotational basis or as-needed
  • Some travel required, both locally and overnight
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; 4 years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree
  • EPIC Security experience required
  • EPIC certification for the area in which you support (ClinDoc) is required or required within 4 months of employment
  • Ongoing maintenance of Epic certification(s) required
  • 2 years of relevant experience required in one of the following areas: Clinical, operational, application support and implementation
  • Development experience with applications in a hospital or medical related industry is required
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software
  • Experience working with project life cycle or project management methodologies is required
  • Advanced understanding and comfort leading business and technology partners through a structured deployment and/or implementation life cycle and support model
