Key Responsibilities
  • General Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of facilities, including walls, floors, ceilings, lights, vents, windows, and fans.
    • Conduct floor care activities, such as buffing, waxing, and auto scrubbing.
  • Maintenance and Repair of Minor Equipment
    • Replace and repair minor equipment, including keyboard trays, chair casters, and other office furniture.
    • Assemble and move office equipment as needed.
  • Equipment Repairs and Vehicle Maintenance
    • Set up maintenance and repairs with local vendors.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Environmental and Building Services equipment.
    • Drive hospital vehicles safely and maintain them in good working condition.
  • Grounds and Equipment Care
    • Provide equipment repair and maintenance during all seasons.
    • Assist with painting and office moves.
  • Clerical Duties
    • Stock and deliver supplies.
    • Maintain department documents, including daily logs, electronic work orders, and inspection records.
  • Safety and Maintenance
    • Ensure safety of self and others through proper use and care of equipment and work site.
    • Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working order.
    • Understand hazards and take steps to prevent harm to self and others.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience meeting required functional competencies.
  • 2-5 years of experience in building care, grounds maintenance, or mechanical work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid driver's license required upon hire.
Physical Demands
  • Heavy work: lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently.
