Job Overview:
VQ is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join our team. This role involves providing safe transportation for youth to and from designated destinations while maintaining a flexible work schedule.

About the Position:
This full-time position requires transporting youth safely and securely within the U.S., accurately documenting and reporting any concerns, and following all rules, laws, and safety protocols set by VQ, state, and federal governments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to maintain confidentiality, and create a positive rapport with youth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport youth safely and securely to their designated destinations.
  • Accurately document and report any concerns to the shift supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality and excellent boundaries for the safety of youth.
  • Follow all rules, laws, and safety protocols set by VQ, state, and federal governments.
  • Develop positive rapport with youth while serving as a role model to create a safe and caring environment.
  • Ensure all needed forms and client services are properly completed and documented according to VQ, local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Assist in the evacuation of youth as needed due to inclement weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen occurrences.
  • Observe, report, and document identified behavior patterns and required information that merit documentation.
  • Responsible for the distribution and documentation of medications to youth as prescribed by the Medical Provider.
  • Report Incidents and Significant Incident Reports (SIRs) to the right parties in accordance with VQ internal policies and requirements.
  • Drive clients to facilitate program services, including transportation to court appointments, attorney visits, school, and other appointments as per contractual requirements.
  • Attend all organizational required training and departmental meetings to ensure up-to-date information is received and/or information of policy changes or practice are adhered to.
  • Travel as needed for training, conferences, or to transport youth to destinations located within the U.S.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work area.
  • Ensure the proper supervision of youth at all times.


Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree and a minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and email.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required by contractual agreement.
  • Must pass a drug test and physical.


Pay Range: $40,000 - $50,000 USD per annum
