Job Summary:

The Airport Manager is responsible for the overall management of the airport's operations, including the fuel farm, inventories, facilities, and equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the airport's operations in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Staff Management: Manage and oversee the performance of all quality control functions, safety training, and standards, as well as line service and customer service staff and facilities and equipment maintenance personnel.
  • Customer Service: Support the development of pricing schedules and rates for ground handling services, participate in negotiations with commercial partners and third-party service providers, and establish new relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Facilities and Equipment Management: Manage and operate the department within budget and performance expectations, enhance and reinforce training programs to ensure safe operations and customer service, and communicate changes or additions to company or departmental policies to staff.
  • Leadership and Development: Motivate and encourage staff to provide the highest safety and service levels, assume additional responsibilities, and delegate responsibilities to qualified personnel as necessary.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to drive to conferences, offsite meetings, and meet with suppliers, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in all types of weather conditions.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED certificate, Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in FBO management or the equivalent in an aviation-related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to coordinate various departments and staff, excellent communication skills, expertise in aviation and business management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to change on a constant basis.
