Job Title: Sr. Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Civil Engineer to lead our site engineering department in designing various land development projects in the greater Charlotte, NC area.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Charlotte engineering department, overseeing all phases of land development projects from conception through completion.
  • Manage workflow and tasks on the development of construction drawings, specifications, engineering calculations, and construction services.
  • Ensure projects meet technical specifications, budgets, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement best practices, innovative solutions, and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate with cross-discipline teams throughout the site design process.
  • Develop and foster repeat work from clients.
  • Support business development efforts.
  • Perform administrative duties such as staff scheduling, proposal writing, billings, etc.
  • Act as the Engineer of Record on projects.
  • Regional travel is expected.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Land Development design.
  • Direct experience within the Charlotte/Mecklenburg NC market is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • PE License is required.
  • Excellent organization, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage clients, projects, staff, and work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydrology Studio, and experience with Newforma and EPANet 2.2 is preferred.
