Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente seeks a skilled Government Relations Counsel to provide strategic guidance on complex public policy, regulatory, and legislative issues. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the political environment and be able to analyze the impact of state and federal legislative and regulatory proposals on the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze the impact of state and federal legislative and regulatory proposals on Kaiser Permanente.
• Provide policy, legal, and strategic counsel to Kaiser Permanente's state and federal Government Relations professionals.
• Assist in the formulation of Kaiser Permanente's public policy positions.
• Convene and lead working groups of Kaiser Permanente experts on specific areas relating to health policy or operations.
• Draft proposed legislation, regulations, and amendments thereto.
• Represent Kaiser Permanente in government and industry meetings and other public forums.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of the political environment and ability to analyze complex public policy issues.
• Strong policy, legal, and strategic analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
