The Mining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe and effective execution of all mining operations, ensuring that production and ore management goals are achieved while supervising site personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and allocate tasks to the mining team.
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Manage resources to achieve production objectives.
- Prepare reports for regulatory bodies and manage permit documentation.
- Engage with government entities during site inspections.
- Uphold high standards for ore management in line with the mining plan.
- Collaborate with Corporate Mine Planning on site layouts and drilling methodologies.
- Conduct on-site drilling and update mine schematics utilizing AutoCAD and GPS technology.
- Inspect machinery, equipment, and the mining site regularly.
- Oversee the budget for the Mining Department.
- Ensure safe conditions on haul roads and throughout the mining area.
- Document issues in JDE and coordinate maintenance for repairs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a mining setting.
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with mobile equipment operation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or similar applications.
- Experience working with government agencies.
Additional Information:
- Position type: Direct Hire
- Compensation: $60K-$75K based on experience
