Heavy Equipment Operator

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of heavy equipment at the Transfer Station. This includes operating yellow iron equipment, overseeing schedules, and maintaining a clean facility.
Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Oversee schedules for truck dumping and trailer switching
- Maintain public areas of the transfer station in a clean and safe condition
- Ensure customers follow safety rules and regulations
- Meet loading schedules to ensure driver loads are ready
- Direct incoming trucks and vehicles to appropriate unloading areas
- Follow safety and equipment checks and precautions
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of prior experience in heavy equipment operation
- Proven commitment to work and safety
