IT Support Specialist

Job Summary:We are looking for an IT Technician 1 with a strong background in network administration and technical support. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our clients, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, or in-person
- Troubleshoot network issues and resolve technical problems
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and software
- Develop and implement technical solutions to improve network performance and security
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless IT operations
- Must possess IAT I certification
- Must possess or be able to obtain an operating system certification that correlates to systems installed onboard MSC vessels
- Must possess an active SECRET level security clearance
- Progressive IT experience (1 year)
- Knowledge of Windows Server (2008r2/2012/2016) /desktop Operating Systems (7/10)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues
- Shipboard experience preferred
- Cat5/Fiber experience
