Key Responsibilities:
As an Adjunct Faculty member, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Delivering instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines;
2. Fostering a learning environment that promotes open discussion and critical thinking;
3. Assessing student progress and grading assignments;
4. Holding office hours for student consultations;
5. Upholding professional conduct and ethical standards;
6. Staying current in the subject matter;
7. Meeting the professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member;
8. Maintaining accurate academic records;
9. Performing additional related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students, staff, and faculty.

Possession of a Master's degree in geography or a Bachelor's degree in geography along with a Master's degree in geology, history, meteorology, or oceanography, or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in aeronautics/aviation with two years of professional experience in the field, or an associate degree with six years of professional experience in aeronautics/aviation will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of experience as Pilot In Command (PIC) under Part 107 regulations.
  • Experience in sUAS training and flight operations.
  • Knowledge of flight controls, aviation weather, safety protocols, and ethical airmanship.
  • Experience in curriculum design for adult learners.
  • Familiarity with Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
