The Supervisor will adhere to the directives provided by the Residential Manager and must be available for on-call duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health and well-being of individuals in care.
  • Collaborate in the creation, execution, and evaluation of Person-Centered Plans.
  • Supervise the implementation of Behavior Plans and ensure adherence to Supervision Guidelines.
  • Design weekly meal plans to promote proper nutrition.
  • Assist residents with making informed purchases during grocery shopping.
  • Educate individuals on basic financial management skills.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of household supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have experience in the disability support field. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate supervisory capabilities, prioritize tasks effectively, and complete all required documentation within specified timeframes. Good judgment and crisis management skills are necessary, along with the ability to maintain positive public relations with various professionals and state representatives. A flexible schedule is required to meet the needs of clients.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience or relevant education in supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Familiarity with person-centered planning and the ability to create and articulate effective goals.
  • Understanding of DSPD policies and procedures.
  • Strong judgment and crisis intervention skills.
  • Proficient writing skills to communicate effectively on diverse topics.
  • Able to manage personnel matters positively and constructively.
  • Participate in job coaching meetings and management discussions.
  • Competency in computer skills.
  • Strong public relations skills when engaging with various employers.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
