Job Overview

NIFS, a leading fitness institution, is seeking a Health and Wellness Instructor to provide coverage for group fitness classes and fitness center duties. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to adapt to various fitness levels of class participants.

The ideal candidate will work under the direction of the Manager to ensure quality in all aspects of the Fitness Center, including customer service, member services, group fitness offerings, and other initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching Group Exercise Classes: Lead high-energy classes, promoting physical activity and a positive atmosphere among participants.
  • Supervising Fitness Center: Maintain a clean and safe environment, responding to member inquiries and providing accurate information on health, fitness, and wellbeing.
  • Customer Service: Establish strong relationships with members, addressing their needs and concerns in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • A degree in a health-related field or working towards one; relevant experience and training are essential.
  • Ability to teach basic balance, chair exercise, and muscle conditioning group fitness classes; aquatic experience is a plus.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification is mandatory; ACSM and industry certifications are recognized.
