Job Title: Community Support Specialist

Company Overview: North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is a leading provider of mental health services, dedicated to supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on qualifications and experience.

Job Description: As a Community Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered interventions and treatment plans to support individuals in living a self-directed life. Your duties will include engaging people in the engagement, assessment, and treatment planning process, gathering information about community agencies, and providing side-by-side support and coaching to help individuals socialize. You will also be responsible for organizing and leading individual and group social and recreational activities, carrying out assigned interventions and action steps of the treatment plan, and collaborating with Housing Coordinators to help individuals find safe and affordable housing.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need a High School Diploma/GED equivalent, with a Bachelor's Degree highly preferred. In lieu of college degree, at least one year of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder is required. MAP and CPR/First Aid certification within five months of hire is also necessary. Massachusett Residents License is a must.
