The Manufacturing Manager will oversee a team of supervisors, process technicians, and production staff at our operational facilities. This team is focused on supporting our bioprocessing division, functioning within controlled environments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that products are manufactured safely, adhering to the highest quality standards and timelines while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity targets.
  • Manage labor capacity in alignment with sales and operations planning (S&OP).
  • Attract, train, and develop a high-performing team focused on meeting customer expectations.
  • Encourage employee engagement in problem-solving and ongoing learning.
  • Facilitate daily team meetings and monthly organizational updates.
  • Promote and maintain compliance with workplace health and safety regulations in accordance with best practices.
  • Participate in operational excellence initiatives aimed at enhancing production equipment, technology, and processes.
  • Assist customer audit teams with facility tours, process inquiries, and audit responses.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the core values of our organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in manufacturing within controlled environments is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills related to production metrics and reporting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of inventory management, production planning, and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of various flow management techniques, particularly in low-volume/high-mix environments.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO9001.
  • Understanding of health and safety best practices.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this position. Regular sitting is necessary, along with the use of hands and fingers for communication. Frequent reaching with hands and arms is required, with occasional standing, walking, or stooping.

  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
