Sales Operations Manager

The position of Sales Operations Manager entails working closely with sales personnel and retail partners to enhance sales performance and optimize product visibility within designated regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with significant accounts across both on-premise and off-premise sectors to elevate brand visibility and sales within the assigned territory.
  • Increase distribution within targeted trade channels by setting performance benchmarks and visiting accounts either independently or alongside sales representatives.
  • Oversee a team of sales professionals, including merchandising staff.
  • Offer direction, training, and encouragement to sales representatives to meet monthly objectives, quarterly sales targets, and distribution goals.
  • Evaluate monthly objectives to pinpoint opportunities, identify underperforming accounts, or recognize potential distribution challenges.
  • Design and implement local brand initiatives as necessary.
  • Achieve set distribution and sales volume targets within the sales territory.
  • Implement brand marketing strategies effectively.
  • Facilitate sales meetings and product demonstrations.
  • Maintain regular communication with the sales team.
  • Collaborate with supplier representatives to reach shared objectives.
  • Stay informed about the product portfolio and promotional activities.
  • Manage expenses in accordance with the established budget.
  • Participate in shelf resets and merchandising efforts.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for staff at key accounts.
  • Coordinate special events within the designated region.
  • Attend promotional events as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Previous sales experience in the beverage sector, whether on-premise or off-premise, is highly valued.
  • Management experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with shelf management practices is beneficial.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.
  • Results-oriented, adaptable to change, and capable of managing complex situations.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and skilled in delivering sales presentations.
  • Expertise in coaching, motivational strategies, and influence.
  • Robust analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

Other Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
  • Required liquor salespersons permit.
  • Any additional necessary permits or licenses must be obtained and maintained.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift weights up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 160 pounds occasionally.
  • Capable of crouching, reaching, and grasping.
  • Comfortable sitting in a vehicle for extended durations.
