Job Overview

Maximus is seeking a Remote Business Process Analyst to support our Department of Education initiative. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to engage in discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather, evaluate, articulate, and confirm requirements, process architecture, and business intelligence needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and define business needs and processes, ensuring clarity on any discrepancies in requirements.
  • Analyze business challenges and opportunities in relation to requirements, proposing solutions that help the organization meet its objectives.
  • Collect, organize, and interpret data to aid program activities and support management in decision-making.
  • Review and refine requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations for new functionalities and solutions.
  • Manage all Production Support Requests by receiving defect reports and aligning them with business requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree, is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Willingness to attend meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Proficiency in database tracking tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and MS Outlook is essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, and resource management skills are vital.
  • Capability to work remotely while maintaining focus and commitment to job responsibilities.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage ambiguity and change effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong analytical/troubleshooting skills.
  • Must possess at least a 5C public trust clearance.
  • Experience with defaulted student loans is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a resident of the U.S.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check is necessary.
  • Must not be in default on any federal student loans.

Home Office Requirements:

  • A private and secure workspace at home.
  • Reliable access to Wi-Fi, LAN (wired connection/ethernet), or both.
  • An internet service provider that can support multiple users without latency or lag.
  • Minimum internet download speed of 25mbps (single) or 50mbps (shared) and 5mbps (10 preferred) upload speed is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
