Senior Equity Program Manager

The Commission on Gender Equity (CGE) is a vital department within the City of New York, working to ensure equal treatment and safety for all individuals, regardless of gender. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to achieve our goals.
SalaryEstimated salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year.
Job DescriptionThe Chief of Staff will oversee CGE's annual planning and implementation processes, managing collaboration across departments and developing systems to support effective operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining operating systems and accountability metrics.
- Managing CGE's personnel, purchasing, and financial operations.
- Representing CGE at internal and external meetings, workgroups, and task forces.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this position, you will need:
- A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business, or public administration.
- Two years of professional experience in budget administration, management, or related fields, with 18 months in an executive, managerial, or supervisory capacity.
Preferred qualifications include:
- 4 years of managerial and/or supervisory experience.
- A strong background in the gender equity field, including experience working across racial, ethnic, and gender diversity.
- Demonstrated project and relationship management experience.
