Sheet Metal Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team at General Dynamics NASSCO-Bremerton. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on sheet metal equipment and facilities, including tanks, compartments, and ventilation systems.
- Assure that all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations, including obtaining necessary permits and following proper procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of mechanical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and repair.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Competitive hourly rate: $37.05 per hour.
