The Recovery Center of Tennessee, LLC is dedicated to empowering individuals to overcome addiction to alcohol and drugs, while also striving to diminish the prevalence of addiction in future generations. Our organization is focused on delivering high-quality, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed care to clients dealing with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Perform initial screening interviews to assess the necessity for drug and alcohol evaluations and urgent care services in areas such as detoxification, psychiatric treatment, and intensive outpatient care; provide referrals to relevant health and human services as required.
- Conduct thorough and confidential assessments using ASAM Placement criteria and the Addiction Severity Index to ascertain the suitable level of care.
- Employ a strengths-based and trauma-informed methodology to collaborate effectively with clients and both internal and external team members, facilitating support for clients in their recovery journey.
- Offer clinical guidance to referral sources, mentors, family members, and others to bolster client recovery efforts.
- Engage closely with clients to involve them in the decision-making process, emphasizing the advantages of assessment and accessing the appropriate level of care.
- Gather and review referral information upon client assignment from the referral source, consulting with others as necessary to ensure coordinated services and scheduling of client interviews.
- Coordinate with the Intake Coordinator to confirm client appointment details and assessment locations.
- Collect data from collateral resources to assist in establishing diagnoses and treatment needs.
- Facilitate Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) groups as directed from Monday to Friday.
- Adhere to all internal and external policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, including the agency's Quality Assurance Plan and State Licensing standards.
- Participate in all required meetings, staff development sessions, and training activities.
- Possession of an active CDCA/LCDCII/LCDCIII/LICDC license from the Tennessee Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and engagement abilities.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record documentation.
- Commitment to supporting the agency's mission and philosophy, with sensitivity to cultural diversity and workplace harmony.
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Counseling.
- LPC, LSW, LMFT licensure by the Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board, or a combination of comparable skills, experience, and education.
- Minimum one year of experience in addictions counseling and/or mental health counseling.
Work Environment: In-person position.
