Job Description

The Senior System Engineer will play a key role in our IT team, responsible for the administration and engineering of our enterprise IT environment. This includes:

Key Responsibilities
  • Windows Server Administration and engineering experience in an enterprise IT environment, including operational and break/fix activities.
  • VMware Virtual Server administration and engineering experience, including virtual machine provisioning, resource changes, performance troubleshooting, monitoring, and break/fix.
  • Assisting in the management of various server-related resources, including Active Directory, IIS, DFS Namespace, File Shares, Office 365, Azure, and SharePoint.
  • Working directly with the Application Support or Development team to deploy, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Setting up workstations, domain accounts, and other hardware and software-related applications.
  • Deploying and troubleshooting various types of network elements, infrastructure services, and platforms.
  • Installing and troubleshooting Microsoft and other system applications and solutions.
  • Maintaining clear communication of progress and status with project stakeholders.
Technical Competencies
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including server and client OS, Active Directory, and DFS.
  • General knowledge of Citrix solutions and VMware technology.
  • General knowledge of Linux.
  • Experience in managing Microsoft cloud solutions, including Azure, Office 365, and SharePoint.
  • Managed Services and Cloud experience.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of related IT industry experience.
  • 2+ years' experience provisioning, operating, monitoring, and maintaining system hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
  • 2+ years' experience in Office 365, Azure, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work with teams in multiple time zones.
  • Strong work ethic, responsiveness, and passion for customer service and quality.
  • Excellent team player and good interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work within a project-based environment.
