Job Overview:

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Process Integration Analyst to enhance the operations of the Department of Veterans Affairs Enterprise Service Desk. In this role, you will leverage your analytical and communication expertise to integrate innovative platforms and methodologies into the VA Enterprise Service Desk. This position provides an excellent opportunity to refine your communication abilities through both written and verbal interactions with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Process Integration Functional Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

Data Collection, Documentation, and Analysis:

  • Conducting Discovery Calls to gather insights for new Process Integration initiatives.
  • Creating VISIO process diagrams for the future state, collaborating with VA personnel, the Process Integration team, Subject Matter Experts, and the Knowledge/Training/Operation Management teams to ensure a smooth transition to the Service Desk.
  • Collecting and analyzing data regarding process performance, identifying trends, obstacles, and areas for enhancement.
  • Establishing and maintaining a risk register to track and prioritize identified risks.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Managing a Virtual Task Board to ensure precise tracking of Process Integration activities.
  • Engaging and collaborating with VA personnel and other vendors to guarantee seamless operations and data flow across various departments or functions within the organization.
  • Working alongside other departments, including IT, operations, and management, to align process enhancements and integrations with overarching business objectives.
  • Coordinating testing and validation of process modifications and system integrations to ensure they fulfill business requirements, potentially involving simulations or pilot programs.
  • Collaborating with other departments to address risk-related issues.
  • Facilitating Operational Readiness Reviews to confirm that process modifications and system integrations operate as intended.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain the ITIL v4 certification within 6 months of hire.
  • 1 year or more of experience with the VA Service Desk.
  • Familiarity with VA Service Desk Processes.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain public trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Visio is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience in risk management is desirable but not mandatory.
