Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our Rapid Response function. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in protecting our customers by tracking the impact of vulnerabilities on the internet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct threat research across technical data sets, fusing Censys-provided data with third-party datasets.
  • Produce finished threat reports and provide technical support to briefings.
  • Develop signatures to identify and track malicious actors or vulnerable Internet-connected infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Research, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure Censys remains at the leading edge of Internet Intelligence.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security and/or Threat Intelligence.
  • Strong technical background in computer security, including experience conducting threat analysis research.
  • The skills and aptitude to distill complex data into clear reports and formats.
  • 3+ years experience with internet scanning and analysis tools such as ZMAP, NMAP, TCPDUMP.
  • Operational knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., DNS, BGP, TCP/IP, IPv4/6).
  • Familiarity with analytic tradecraft, intelligence analysis, and writing techniques and methodologies specific to threat analysis.
  • Strong background in conducting data analysis using SQL and Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; unwavering attention to detail and ability to convey complex technical and non-technical concepts.
What We Offer
