Senior Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team at Kerry Search Partners. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our corporate and global firewalls, cloud security, and VPN setups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a global team of Infrastructure Engineers to maintain corporate security both on-premises and in the cloud
  • Lead and manage multiple security projects simultaneously
  • Support cloud security services, including firewalls, load balancers, security groups, ACLs, SASE, and SSE
  • Design, engineer, and maintain corporate and global firewalls, cloud security, and VPN setups for both internal and external clients
  • Work with Enterprise Architecture, Engineers, Analysts, Security Architects, and other stakeholders to deploy and support security tools and solutions for highly available, disaster-resilient systems
  • Guide product teams in implementing strong security practices
  • Develop creative solutions for operational security challenges
  • Lead system maintenance, including patching and updates for security systems
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation
  • Communicate regularly with leadership and project partners on progress
  • Attend teleconferences and meetings as needed in a dynamic security environment

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience deploying application-based firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) on-premises or in the cloud (e.g., Prisma, Zscaler)
  • In-depth knowledge of network security in large enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and firewall deployment
  • Expertise in various security technologies, including NGFW, NAC, network segmentation, and network security architecture
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 2-7 protocols and experience troubleshooting routing, firewalls, WAF, and intrusion prevention systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and deliver complex presentations
  • Basic scripting knowledge is a plus
  • Relevant certifications: PCNSE, FCX, CISSP, SANS GCIH (or similar)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in network security roles

This is a hybrid role located in Ann Arbor.
