Role Summary:

The Vice President of Investment Strategy at Augmentjobs plays a crucial leadership role, tasked with directing and shaping the investment strategies and operations of the firm. This position calls for a seasoned and forward-thinking professional who will enhance investment performance, lead a team of investment experts, and collaborate with executive leadership to fulfill the organization’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Oversight:
    • Formulate and execute the comprehensive investment strategy for the organization.
    • Offer strategic insights on investment choices, asset distribution, and risk management.
    • Assess and refine investment methodologies to boost performance.
  2. Portfolio Management:
    • Supervise the administration of investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with the organization’s objectives and risk appetite.
    • Perform thorough analyses of market dynamics, economic indicators, and investment prospects.
    • Propose adjustments to investments and portfolio rebalancing.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Guide and develop a team of investment specialists, including portfolio managers and analysts.
    • Encourage a collaborative and high-achieving work culture.
    • Ensure ongoing professional development and training for team members.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Communicate investment strategies, performance evaluations, and recommendations to senior management and the board.
    • Maintain relationships with essential stakeholders, including clients and financial institutions.
  5. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Guarantee compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
    • Develop and implement risk management frameworks to safeguard investments and minimize potential losses.
  6. Performance Evaluation:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, etc.) preferred.
  • 12-15 years of experience in investment management, demonstrating a successful track record in leading investment strategies and managing substantial portfolios.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, capable of interpreting complex financial data and market trends.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring investment professionals.
  • Proven capacity to communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and compliance issues.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make informed investment decisions under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
