Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and lead employment programs and workshops aimed at enhancing job readiness, including resume building, interview preparation, and career development.
  • Assist residents and inmates in their job search by aligning their skills with suitable employment opportunities through various resources, including online platforms and community services.
  • Organize and facilitate on-site job fairs, as well as provide referrals to external community job fairs.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local employers, career centers, vocational schools, and social service organizations to enhance job placement efforts.
  • Oversee and support residents' use of facility resources, including computer labs and telecommunication systems, for job searching and resume writing, while regularly monitoring their job search activities.

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is mandatory.
  • At least one year of experience in counseling, guidance, or job placement is essential.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, particularly in managing challenging situations with residents and inmates.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to address complex issues through problem-solving.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
