Job Title: CNC Machinist - Precision Manufacturing Specialist

Gerhard Gear Co. Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team of precision manufacturing specialists. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating vertical CNC mills to produce high-precision parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate CNC mills to produce high-precision parts
  • Mount and touch off tools, indicate fixtures quickly and accurately
  • Basic programming ability to write vise jaw cutting programs unattended
  • Familiarity with FANUC and HAAS controls
  • Basic editing during prove out of new programs
  • Knowledge of cutting feeds and speeds as applied to Milling, Reaming, Tapping and general material cutting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced job shop maintaining a high quality level of parts with tolerances of +/-.0005"
  • Knowledge and ability to check geometric tolerancing such as Perpendicularity, Parallelism, Concentricity and True position
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to complete setup and produce parts according to cycle time

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a JOB SHOP environment setting up CNC Mills at a proficient level
  • Must be eligible to legally work in the United States of America
  • Veterans encouraged to apply
