About the CNC Machinist Role:

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Hone Lap & Grind factory at our Burbank, CA location. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate material used
  • Listen to machining operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems
  • Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps
  • Maintain conscientious work behaviors including work ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD)

Requirements:

  • 3+ year of experience machining with CNC Mills and/or Lathe
  • Knowledge of various inspection equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, and height gages; Understanding of cutting tool Geometry

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary
