Assistant Property Manager Job Description

Oakbrook Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Property Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, providing exceptional customer service to tenants, and collaborating with vendors to resolve maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Property Manager with daily operations, including responding to tenant inquiries and coordinating maintenance requests.
  • Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely completion of work orders and assist with lease administration tasks.
  • Market and lease properties to prospective residents, explaining terms of occupancy and providing local area information.
  • Assist with staff and resident inquiries, and assist with training staff.
  • Prepare weekly traffic reports and marketing reports, and prepare monthly market studies based on competitive properties.
  • Assist with collection of monthly rentals and deposits, and investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in property management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical ability to perform regular inspections of the property.
