Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Enclave Luxury Apartments in Wauwatosa, WI. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the community, ensuring a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field, with hands-on experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems, swimming pools, landscaping, and cleaning. You will be required to furnish your own tools and have transportation to pick up replacement parts and supplies from vendors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Addressing resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Communicating with residents on pending items or the status of service requests
  • Maintaining accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, expenditures, and apartment make-ready status
  • Ensuring all make-ready repairs and services are completed on schedule
  • Raking, sweeping, shoveling, and salting property grounds as needed
  • Changing locks and keys
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

  • 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to interact professionally and efficiently with prospects, residents, staff, and management
  • Hands-on experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems, swimming pools, landscaping, and cleaning
  • Applicant must be HVAC certified and CPO certified preferred
  • Applicant must have a CFC/EPA approved certification (or be willing to obtain within 45 days of hire)
  • Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) preferred

Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, walk between buildings and on roofs, stoop, kneel, and bend, as well as have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

The selected applicant will also be required to complete a drug and background screening.

Work hours include 40+ hours a week, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours as circumstances warrant.
