Job Summary

Versiti Inc is seeking a skilled Facilities Management Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems and facilities management information system (FMIS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the creation and execution of validation plans and other quality documents.
  • Develop and maintain system procedures, training material, and other related documentation.
  • Assist with the implementation of new or revised computer applications and improve facilities management processes.
  • Identify problems with systems and participate in troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Manage the change control process and procedures related to systems.
  • Review and recommend database changes in FMIS.
  • Coordinate, implement, and evaluate facilities management and systems training.
  • Prepare project plans, status, and statistical reports as needed for system planning and training.
  • Act as a liaison between Information Services and Facilities Management on system issues, training, and support.
  • Coordinate CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action): data maintenance, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Assume on-call responsibility as needed.
  • Serve as a backup to Facilities Tech IIs.
  • Act as a liaison between Facilities Management and Equipment Management, IS, and QSS.
  • Assist with downtime procedures.
  • Facilitate the collection of data on quality indicators. Analyze data, summarize, and prepare reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to system use.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate's Degree in a maintenance-related field or technical certification required.
  • Comparable experience in a maintenance field with an emphasis on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration maintenance and repair required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in managing database-driven systems required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a maintenance field; experience with electrical and building systems, biomedical equipment, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration required.

  • Strong computer aptitude and skills.
  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Superior skills in troubleshooting and resolving technical/equipment and systems problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to competently perform all duties of Facilities Tech II.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and technical writing and training.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
