Position Overview

Job Title: Hospitality Worker

Department: Department of Family and Support Services

Number of Openings: Multiple

Hourly Compensation: $16.20

Key Responsibilities
  • Enrolling new participants in the nutrition initiative at designated program sites.
  • Maintaining accurate daily attendance logs and managing client contributions.
  • Completing weekly reports to track meal orders, servings, and client participation.
  • Receiving and confirming food deliveries while addressing any service-related issues.
  • Ensuring adequate inventory of supplies for the nutrition site.
  • Preparing and serving meals, ensuring adherence to portion control standards.
  • Conducting light cleaning duties in dining and kitchen areas to uphold sanitation standards.
  • Collecting and reconciling voluntary contributions from participants.
  • Welcoming clients and providing information to facilitate program activities.
  • Setting up and cleaning serving areas to comply with food safety regulations.

Additional Duties: Other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Must possess a Food Handler or Food Service Manager certification.

Note: A copy of your food service sanitation certification and resume must be attached to your application for it to be considered complete.

Selection Process

Applicants will undergo an interview process. Candidates who best meet the qualifications for the role will be selected.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Prior experience in the food service sector.
  • Experience with the Golden Diners program.
  • Experience handling financial transactions and completing necessary documentation.
  • Experience in customer service, particularly with senior populations.
  • Attached Food Handler or Food Service Manager Certificate.
