Role Overview

Your Career Path

As a Cybersecurity Solutions Architect, you will deliver technical expertise and strategic guidance throughout your client's journey towards a zero-trust framework. Your contributions will be pivotal in crafting technical solutions that align with the critical business objectives of our clients. You will advocate for our leadership in on-premises, cloud, and security services, establishing Palo Alto Networks as the trusted cybersecurity partner.

Your Contributions

Curiosity is essential in this role, as you view complex challenges as opportunities for learning and innovation. Your impact will be defined by:

  • Surpassing sales targets by developing and executing strategic technical account plans that focus on cross-platform solutions.
  • Conducting thorough discovery sessions to comprehend and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial priorities of your prospects and clients.
  • Designing and implementing compelling technical and business-focused solutions that drive adoption and growth across the portfolio.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills and the ability to influence through effective presentations, customer-specific demonstrations, and technical workshops.
  • Coordinating with supporting resources to ensure a unified approach that showcases a cohesive strategy.
  • Promoting comprehensive solutions that incorporate Palo Alto Networks and/or partner professional services to ensure clients realize business value promptly.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape to effectively differentiate our leadership position.
  • Continuously enhancing your technical and professional skills to increase your contributions to customer success while actively engaging within the SE community and at industry events.
Qualifications

Your Background

  • Current residence in Nebraska or Iowa.
  • Proven success as a quota-carrying technical pre-sales engineer.
  • Strong foundational skills in Networking (Routing/Switching).
  • Experience in delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and support new business initiatives.
  • Ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders in both customer-facing and internal roles; prior pre-sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
  • Familiarity with selling, implementing, or managing SaaS/SASE/cloud/managed/on-prem solutions is advantageous.
  • Experience collaborating with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions.
  • Experience with complex sales processes involving multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions is preferred.
