Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Military Field Consultant to join our team at Cognosante. As a Military Field Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting events that increase awareness of military community services, collaborating with existing family support resources, identifying recommendations to address service gaps, and forming relationships with community service providers, military services, and regional and local representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel throughout assigned region, as directed, and approved by MC&FP to support events and activities.
  • Provide Service members and families with information and referrals and support for events to increase awareness of military community services.
  • Maintain an online repository of state-specific information on Government-approved family programs and support resources.
  • Identify problems and/or gaps in available services/resources and determine methods to fill gaps and enhance existing support system efforts.
  • Participate in, and facilitate collaboration between, military and civilian agencies to improve coordination.
  • Provide briefings and trainings to share information that brings related groups together.
Requirements
  • US Citizen and fluent English speaker.
  • Possess strong customer service skills, knowledge of call center operations, and knowledge of the military lifestyle.
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
  • Possesses 6 years of prior military experience as: Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve service member, or the spouse of a member, or relevant civilian knowledge and experience working in Military Service programs.
  • Possesses an additional 4 years of work experience consisting of some combination of prior military experience, marketing, sales, recruiting, education, or other similar networking-intensive work.
  • Must undergo criminal history and fingerprint check.
  • Must submit to and successfully pass a DoD-initiated Tier 2 (Low-Risk) Suitability Investigation.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 80% within assigned geographical area of responsibility, usually by own vehicle.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of: Naval Station Newport, RI or Naval Submarine Base New London, CT.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Fluently bilingual English-Spanish.
  • Prior experience in marketing, recruiting, counseling, and/or academic instruction.

$77,059.11 - $124,450.68
