Position Overview: As a Retail Sales Associate at H&M, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring our customers stay stylish. This role, also known internally as Sales Advisor, is crucial in delivering the Best Customer Experience, contributing to the store's sales and profitability.

In this position, you will prioritize customer satisfaction, offer assistance, and share your knowledge of products and fashion trends.

Your role will involve creating a shopping-friendly environment through effective Store Operations and Garment Care.

By sharing your expertise with colleagues, you will help foster a cohesive team that meets our customers' expectations. This position operates in alignment with H&M standards, policies, procedures, and legal requirements. You will report to the Department Managers and have a dotted line to the Department Supervisor.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Greet and engage customers actively in service areas and on the sales floor to ensure the best shopping experience.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized sales floor to promote a positive shopping atmosphere, including folding, hanging, displaying, and merchandising garments according to H&M guidelines to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Unload delivery trucks, receive, open, and unpack merchandise, and label items with security tags within established efficiency timelines.
  • Process, stock, and replenish garments on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
  • Operate the register, handle all transactions, issue receipts, and package merchandise appropriately following best practices.
  • Promote and educate customers about our H&M Loyalty program.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, sharing knowledge and offering assistance to create a positive work environment.
  • Adhere to H&M standards and local legislation regarding health, safety, and security to ensure the safety of yourself, your colleagues, and customers.
  • Follow all procedures related to safety, security, and administrative processes throughout the store.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service and helping others find their style. Ideal candidates are multi-taskers who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess a positive and inclusive attitude, and are eager to learn on the job.

Team players with a flexible approach are essential. Candidates should be able to lift over 20 pounds and stand for extended periods, engage in repetitive motions, and carry items short distances.

Additionally, the ability to climb ladders and use step stools is required. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, is necessary.


Additional Information:

Job Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt EEOC Code: SLS Compensation: Sales Associates start at $12.00 per hour.
