Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a combination of general accounting systems. This includes records of assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, budgets, cost accounting, and other financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  4. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to inform business decisions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  7. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
  8. Provide training and support to junior staff members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Working Conditions:

This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel occasionally. The employee must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
