Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Lead for Production and Sustainment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving yield improvements through test maturations efforts and developing HW engineering strategic plans in partnership with Operations and ITE.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead production and test yield improvement initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve program goals.
- Manage critical aspects of production, including box builds and assembly, ensuring smooth integration of components and systems.
- Prioritize and manage urgent tasks to meet production deadlines, addressing critical issues promptly.
- Monitor production costs, budgets, and financial performance, optimizing resource allocation.
- Lead or support 8D investigations to identify and resolve production issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Interface with customers to understand requirements and address concerns, maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Work across various program disciplines (engineering, quality, operations) to resolve issues and achieve project objectives.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Develop and track production performance metrics, including hours per unit, yield, defects per unit, cost of goods history, and unit price.
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS), planning headcount requirements.
- Support the transition to production, resolving integration and requirements issues.
- Integrate testing, requirements development, and troubleshooting.
- Interpret Statement of Work (SOW) and develop Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRLs), assisting Program Engineering with Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years with an Associate's degree, 8+ years with a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years with a Master's degree, or 4+ years with a Ph.D.
- 10+ years of experience working on electrical designs.
- Depth of experience in any one of the following electrical domains: RF, Microwave, Power, Digital.
- Breadth of experience in multiple electrical domains.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting Printed Board Assemblies and Subsystems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
- Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner and lead others to closure.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Active or previously held Secret Clearance (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
- Active Secret Clearance (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience gathering and analyzing test data to assess trends and develop yield improvement plans.
Full-Time Salary Range: $126,610 - $215,270
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
